Natalya Goncharova

Goncharova was an innovative Russian painter, sculptor, and stage designer who in about 1910 with Mikhail Larionov founded Rayonism. She was a set and costume designer for the Diagalev's Ballets Russes.

Mikhail Larionov Fyodorovich

born: Tiraspol, Moldovia; 3 June 1881
died: Fontenay-aux-Roses, France; 10 May 1964

Russian-born, Larionov emigrated to France and is considered was a French painter and stage designer. He was a pioneer of pure abstraction in painting. In about 1910 he and Natalya Goncharova began the Rayonist movement. He later married her.
