died: Siena’s Santa Maria della Scala, Republic of Siena [now Italy]; 14/15 February 1549

Bazzi was a known homosexual, his nickname (the sodomite) was started as a joke and Bazzi later adopted it as his professional name. A rival of Raphael, he taught Michelangelo.
