The Sistine Chapel in the Vatican in Rome was designed to house the decorations of the period’s greatest artists. Titian, Perugio, Raphael all painted frescos here. Michelangelo first painted the ceiling frescos including the Creation of Adam and the Expulsion from the Garden of Eden around 1510.
