Ancient Art
10,000 BC to 300 AD

Introduction

In this museum Egypt is probably the best covered of all the ancient civilizations, we still have a long way to go to cover this early period of European civilization. There is almost no art from Assyria, Babylonian, Mycenaean, Crete, Rhodes, and the Aegean Islands. Greece, and Rome have reasonable collections of art.
