Prehistoric and Ancient Art

Stairs Up: Mezzanine

Visit our medieval art gallery. Here you will find art from about 300 AD to 1400 AD. A vast period of time with not enough art to really represent it. However some things on display are quite beautiful, like St. Stephen's Crown from Hungary. From the Mezzanine, there is also a view of the Foucault pendulum pit.

Stairs Down: Basement

Visit our 20th CenturyArt Exhibition. Unfortunately, we still don't have as much art from the second half of the Twentieth Century as we should have. But the first half is pretty well represented. The second half is getting a bit better and soon it will be equal to the rest of the museum.

The museum offices are installed down here next to the smoking area.
