Note for PayPal and Credit Card users, the email address you enter here must match the one you supply to PayPal when you make the payment. If you want to use a different email address as your Tigertail contact address, or you want to give a gift membership you will be able to enter this information later. Unless you tell us differently, we will use the name and email that PayPal supplies for the Tigertail membership. Within a quarter of an hour, after you have finished your PayPal transaction, you should get an email acknowledgment from info@tigtail.org which will supply you with your online password for the virtual museum.

If the email address doesn't match your application you won't get a membership. If you don't get a membership email because the email addresses differ, then come back here and select "Prior Contributor" as you method of payment and enter the right email address; the software will match the email addresses and should send you a membership directly.

If you have trouble paying with PayPal don't hesitate to mail a complaint to us at info @ tigtail.org. If things are really not working well with PayPal we will change to another credit card processing company. But the only way we can know about trouble is if people complain.

Note for visitors that chose "Check" as your method of pledging, you will have to provide us additional contact information so we can match your check up to your application. We can't accept checks drawn on non-US banks (it's not our fault—it is the fault of the US Banking system), you will have to go to your bank a get a draft drawn on a US bank; nearly all banks outside the US provide this service. We will email you after we receive your check or draft and your on-line membership has been created.

Note for Prior Contributors to Tigertail Associates. We appreciate your support more than ever. The information you supplied when you gave your donation will be used to create your online membership, but it must match the email address you give here. If that is no longer possible, or Tigertail doesn't have a record of your email, contact the museum and give us the details of your contribution and your old and new email addresses. We will set things up for you.

Tigertail Associates is a California Non-Profit Corporation formed in 1983. It is chartered under United States Tax law as a charity. Formally this is designated by section 501(c)(3) of the US Tax Code. This means that for many US citizens this contribution can be deducted as a charitable donation from US individual income taxes. If you want a receipt for your contribution please contact us.

Here is the fine print:

We promise that all information that we get from your application or from PayPal about your transaction will be used only for our accounting and to contact you if there are any problems. We may occasionally use your information to inform you of changes to the website, or that your membership is about to expire, or to limit access to adult material, or to tell you about new policies we may institute. Statistical summaries of information you provide will be used for demographic information that we may give to possible funders, personal information will not be disclosed. We will not sell or otherwise distribute to third parties your email address or name. We hate spam as much as you undoubtedly do.

PayPal is owned by EBay. Tigertail Associates has no relationship with either PayPal or EBay except to use their financial services for accepting credit card transactions and money transfers. If you use the PayPal button you will enter a secure e-commerce site operated by PayPal. Although we believe this company is taking precautions to maintain strict security measures to protect the information you provide, we can not be absolutely sure, and we can not be responsible if they fail to do so.
